About Standard Issue
Founded by comedian Sarah Millican in September 2014 as an online magazine, Standard Issue is a smart, funny, magazine-style podcast for women by women.
Its mix of news, opinion, interviews, sport, life stories and entertainment, all comes from a female perspective straight into your ears.

Standard Issue will never pander to society’s narrow definition of what women are interested in. We will never tell you who to be, what to wear or how to look. We believe that every woman should feel empowered to simply be herself.
Meet the team
Hannah Dunleavy, Mickey Noonan and Jen Offord
Hannah is a journalist who once enjoyed covering UK and US news. Back when it didn't involve just screaming into a pillow. She drinks tea to an Olympic standard. Also whisky. She makes excellent TV suggestions but has no luck with trains. She can't win them all.

Mickey once shoved an apple pip up her nose to see what happened. Older, wiser but sadly without a nose-tree, she remains curious about the world, which is why she became a journalist. She likes running, jumping and static trapeze. And cats. Because she's not a monster.
Jen is from Essex, which isn’t relevant because she lives in London, but she likes people to know it anyway. She joined the Standard Issue team in 2015 as our very own Sporty Spice, covering women’s sport, and then just hung around. She likes daft challenges, Noel Edmonds, cheese and Beyonce.
And the boss...
Sarah Millican
Standard Issue's glorious founder is a comedian, writer, reformed workaholic, feminist, cat and dog mam, wife and lover of food.
